Our Home at 4021 Steeplchase

When we first started dreaming about building our home, we knew we wanted something that felt timeless, unique, and truly custom—not something that looked like every other house on the street. From the very beginning, Benji and the team at Benjamin Custom Homes understood exactly what we were hoping to create.

Benji helped us bring to life a design inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright’s Prairie-style architecture, with long horizontal rooflines, natural materials, and a layout that feels open and connected to the outdoors. What impressed us most was how intentional every detail felt throughout the process.

Inside the home, the spaces feel both grand and comfortable at the same time. The great room is one of our favorite places in the house. The high ceilings, linear fireplace, and natural light make it the perfect gathering place for family and friends. The custom millwork throughout the home is something people notice immediately—it adds so much character and craftsmanship that you just don’t see in most homes today.

The layout works beautifully for everyday living. The bedrooms are thoughtfully arranged so everyone has their own space, while the main living areas stay open and welcoming. One feature we especially love is the detached guest and servant’s quarters, which gives visitors a private place to stay while still being connected to the home.

But the place where we spend the most time is outside. Benji helped us design a large covered patio overlooking the pool and waterfall features, and it has truly become the heart of the home. Whether we’re hosting friends or just enjoying a quiet evening, it feels like a private retreat.
