Our Home at 117 Sullivan Way

When we began planning our home, we wanted something that felt both elegant and comfortable—a place where our family and friends could gather, relax, and truly enjoy everyday living. Working with Benji Allen at Benjamin Custom Homes helped us turn that vision into reality. Together we designed a home set on more than an acre in a private gated community, surrounded by beautifully landscaped land that gives us both privacy and a peaceful setting.

One of the things we love most is the open layout. From the moment you walk through the front door, you can see straight through the home to the outdoor living space, where the covered back porch and outdoor fireplace create a natural extension of the living area. It makes the whole house feel connected and welcoming. The kitchen quickly became the heart of our home, just as we hoped. With its farmhouse sink, custom cabinetry, and a large custom pantry, it’s both beautiful and incredibly functional. The thoughtful design flows right into the dining and living spaces, making it perfect for hosting family and friends.

All of the bedrooms are generously sized and conveniently located on the first floor, with large double-paned windows that bring in natural light while keeping the home energy efficient. Upstairs, a private back staircase leads to spaces we designed for fun and flexibility—a large bonus room, a dedicated media room, and a full bath that make it perfect for movie nights or having guests stay over.

Another space that means a lot to us is the home office. With its floor-to-ceiling built-in bookshelves, it’s a quiet place to work, read, or simply step away for a moment. Every detail in this home reflects the thoughtful planning and craftsmanship that went into building it, and thanks to Benjamin Custom Homes, we ended up with more than just a beautiful house—we have a home that truly fits the way our family lives.
