When we started planning our home, we knew we wanted something special—a place surrounded by nature that still reflected our style and felt welcoming to family and friends. Working with Benji Allen from Benjamin Custom Homes helped us bring that vision to life. Nestled beneath towering oak trees in the Cottonwood Creek gated community and just a short drive from Fort Worth, our home gives us the peaceful country lifestyle we hoped for while keeping the city close by.

From the beginning, we wanted a design that blended Old World character with contemporary comfort. Benji helped incorporate beautiful high-end finishes throughout the home, including a coffered ceiling, classic trim work, elegant crown molding, and a butler’s pantry that makes entertaining friends and family easy. Each bedroom was designed with its own walk-in closet and private bath access, which gives everyone in the house a sense of space and privacy.

One of the things we love most about our home is how it connects to the outdoors. Our back porch has become one of our favorite places to spend time together. With the wood-burning fireplace going in the evenings, we often sit outside watching deer and wildlife move through the trees—it’s one of the things that makes living here feel so peaceful and unique.

The property itself was fully landscaped with fresh sod and a sprinkler system, and even the garage was finished with sealed floors, trim work, and commercial-grade cabinetry to keep everything organized. Looking back, building with Benjamin Custom Homes gave us more than just a house—it gave us a home that perfectly fits our lifestyle and the setting we love so much.
