Our Home at 230 Dubose Way

When we first began thinking about building our home, we had a big vision. We didn’t just want a house—we wanted a place where our family could truly live, gather, relax, and make memories together. From the very beginning, Benji and the team at Benjamin Custom Homes understood that vision and helped us bring it to life in ways we never could have imagined.

Benji handled everything for us—from the architectural design to the interior layout and even the entire outdoor recreation space. Having a builder who could guide the whole process made the experience not only easier, but actually enjoyable.

One of the first things people notice when they walk into the house is the sunken library, which quickly became one of our favorite spaces. It feels warm, quiet, and a little bit special—perfect for reading, working, or just stepping away from the busy parts of the house for a while.

Throughout the home, the amount of glass and natural light is incredible. The large windows bring the outdoors in and make the entire house feel open and connected to the surrounding property.

The layout works perfectly for our family. The main floor is designed around a spacious family room and kitchen that flow naturally together, while upstairs includes additional bedrooms and spaces for relaxing, including a media room and cozy reading nook that the kids absolutely love. 

But what truly makes this home special is what Benji helped us create outside.

Benjamin Custom Homes didn’t just build the house—they designed and delivered our entire family recreation environment. The backyard features a beautiful custom pool, a fire pit gathering area, and even our own pickleball court, which has quickly become the favorite hangout spot for friends and family.

Many evenings we find ourselves outside—kids playing pickleball, friends gathered around the fire pit, and the pool glowing in the background. It’s exactly the kind of lifestyle we hoped this home would create.

Looking back, we’re incredibly grateful we chose Benjamin Custom Homes. Benji made the process personal, collaborative, and focused on getting every detail right.
